Holliday Pigments and Astropol Shortlisted for Industry Award

Holliday Pigments has been shortlisted alongside PVC colour systems specialist Astropol in the Plastic Industry Awards' newly created 'Supplier Partnership' category.

In association with Crain Communications' respected trade title, Plastics & Rubber Weekly (PRW), the awards programme has been recognising the influence of individuals, processors, suppliers and product designers on the industry for the last decade. Organisers have introduced a new format for The Supplier Partnership category for the first time this year by inviting companies to submit written entries highlighting the benefits of collaboration between customer and supplier. This category has traditionally been selected by third party nominees but a panel of independent industry experts will now have the deciding vote.

The Holliday Pigments- Astropol affiliation is one of three shortlisted supplier partnerships in the Masterbatch/Additive/ Compound category. The joint awards entry highlighted how Astropol uses Holliday Pigments' ultramarine blue to maintain the shade of its plastic products specially designed for the construction industry. Here its blue is used to keep Astropol's PVC window profile systems whiter for longer and also helps to achieve the precise blue-black shade required for guttering and similar external plastics applications.
