Eastman Increases Chemical Prices on October 1

KINGSPORT, Tenn. -- Eastman Chemical Company is increasing prices on the following products effective Oct. 1. These increases are due to increased market demand and elevated production costs, particularly in raw materials, energy and freight.

  • Texanol ester alcohol: Global list and off-list price increase of $US 0.03/lb ($US 0.07/kg).
  • Eastman specialty ketones, including Eastman MAK (methyl n-amyl ketone), Eastman MIAK (methyl isoamyl ketone), Eastman MPK (methyl n-propyl ketone), North American, Latin American, and Europe, Middle East and Africa list and off-list price by $US0.04/lb ($US0.088/kg).

  • Eastman NPG glycol: Global list price increase of $US 0.10/lb ($US 0.22/kg)
    North America, Latin America and Europe, Middle East and Africa Off-list price increase of $US 0.10/lb ($US 0.22/kg)
    Asia Pacific region Off-list price increase of $US 0.30/kg.
  • Eastman TMPD glycol: Global list and off-list price increase of $US 0.07/lb ($US 0.15/kg).
  • Eastman hydroquinone: Global off-list price increase of $US 0.20/lb. ($US 0.44/kg).
  • Eastman hydroquinone derivatives: Global off-list price increase of $US 0.12/lb. ($US 0.26/kg).
  • Eastman aceto-acetoxyethyl methacrylate: Global list and off-list price increase of $US 0.12/lb ($US 0.26/kg).
  • Eastman glacial acetic acid and Eastman dilute acetic acid: Global off-list price increase of $US 0.04/lb ($US 0.088/kg).
  • Eastman acetic anhydride, all grades: Global off-list price increase of $US 0.02/lb ($US 0.044/kg).
  • Eastman acetaldehyde: North American list and off-list price increase of $US 0.02/lb ($US 0.044/kg).
