Eastman Increases Aldehyde Prices on December 1

KINGSPORT, Tenn. -- Eastman Chemical Company is increasing prices on the following products effective Dec. 1, or as contracts allow. These increases are due to increased market demand and operating costs, particularly in raw materials, energy and freight.

  • N-Butyraldehyde: Off-list price increase of $US .08/lb ($US .177/kg) in North America and Latin America.
  • Isobutyraldehyde: Off-list price increase of $US .08/lb ($US .177/kg) in North America and Latin America.
  • Propionaldehyde: Off-list price increase of $US .08/lb ($US .177/kg) in North America and Latin America
  • Propionaldehyde: Off-list price increase of $US .08/lb ($US .177/kg) in North America and Latin America
  • 2-Ethylhexaldehyde: Off-list price increase of $US .08/lb ($US .177/kg) in North America and Latin America
  • Acetaldehyde: Off-list price increase of $US 0.03/lb ($US 0.07/kg) in North America and Latin America.
