DuPont Announces Sales and Marketing Network for its Specialty Colorants and Additives Business

WILMINGTON, Del., Feb. 18, 2004 - DuPont announced today it is establishing a worldwide sales and marketing network to expand the availability of its custom liquid colorants and fine particle dispersions. The network will provide customers with a range of individualized services from initial development through ongoing manufacture. DuPont Specialty Colorants and Additives is part of DuPont Coatings & Color Technologies.

DuPont named two U. S. companies and their regional territories. Van Horn, Metz & Company, Inc. of Conshohocken, Pa., will cover the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic.

Chemical Distributors, Inc. of Portland, Or., will offer the products and services in the Northwest. In the coming months, DuPont will add more organizations to cover the remainder of the United States, as well as Europe and Asia.

"The ability to combine our technical know-how with DuPont knowledge of color and dispersant science is certain to help our customers improve their processes and products."

DuPont Specialty Colorants and Additives serves customers who need higher performance or tighter specification tolerances than what is currently available. Combining DuPont knowledge and experience with six-sigma methodology provides customers with added product value and significant cost savings through yield and/or throughput improvements. DuPont Specialty Colorants and Additives is also ISO- 9002 certified and provides superior safeguards and reassurance in the areas of safety, health and the environment.

Van Horn, Metz and Company, www.vanhornmetz.com was founded in 1950 by Harold Van Horn and Donald Metz. The company was designed to offer raw materials for industry use. The company operates six warehouses and five sales offices in the Mid-Atlantic, Northeast and Ohio Valley.

Chemical Distributors Inc, www.cdipdx.com was established in 1976. Headquartered in Portland, Oregon, CDI distributes raw materials and containers to customers in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Utah, Colorado, Alaska and Hawaii.
