Dow UCAR Emulsion Systems Announces Price Increases for Vinyl Acrylic Emulsion Products

Published on 2007-06-19. Author : SpecialChem

Cary, NC -- UCAR Emulsion Systems (UES), a business unit of The Dow Chemical Company, is increasing the off-list prices for all vinyl-containing emulsion products.

Effective July 1, 2007 for all North American customers, UES will increase the price by $0.03 / wet pound for UCAR™ vinyl acrylic latexes, EVOCAR™ vinyl acetate ethylene latexes, and NEOCAR™ vinyl versatate latexes.

These increases apply to all market segments, including architectural and industrial coatings, adhesives and sealants, and traffic coatings. The ongoing escalation in all costs related to the manufacture of these products, particularly feedstock, energy and transportation costs, continues to drive these increases.

Customers interested in learning more about the price increases should contact their local Dow sales representatives.
