Dow to Exhibit Innovative & Environmentally Advanced Coatings Solutions at Interlakokraska 2011

MOSCOW, Russia -- Dow, a world leader in the business of connecting chemistry and innovation, will present the combined synergies of three of its global businesses at the 15th international Interlakokraska Coatings Exhibition, 1 - 4 March, 2011, in Moscow, Russia.

The Company's stand, number FF 120 in the 'Forum' Pavilion, will be staffed by a team of technical specialists, supported by local and international business leaders from Dow Coating Materials, Dow Microbial Control and the ANGUS™ Chemical Company.

Dow has already built an enviable reputation with domestic and export manufacturers supplying the construction and allied industries in Russia, other CIS countries and overseas. This year, visitors to the Dow stand will be able to discuss our wide range of high-performance, innovative and environmentally advanced coatings solutions, as well as find details about specific products and updates on the latest technological developments in their industries.

Dow Coating Materials will be showcasing its range of opaque polymers: Ropaque™ Ultra E is an ammonia and APEO free, low VOC polymer with optimized void fraction and particle size, allowing maximum formulation cost reduction. As well as its use in all types of waterborne paint formulations, Ropaque™ Dual exploits the latest advances in material technology, allowing the reformulation of opaque polymer in decorative, solvent-borne alkyd paints. Also on display at the Exhibition will be Dow's NEOCAR™ latexes and AVANSE™ Acrylic Resin technology, which utilizes lower VOC levels in metal protection paints without sacrificing quality. Both of these high-performance products offer outstanding water and blush resistance.

Business program

During the week of Interlakokraska 2011, Dow Coating Materials will hold a technical seminar for Dow customers on February 28 on "Ropaque Hiding technologies", while Dow Microbial Control will speak at the conference focusing on new developments in the coatings industry. On March 1, during the conference which will take place in the Hall B. Pavilion 1 of the Expocentre, Paul Wood of Dow Microbial Control will present a technical paper entitled "A Proposal for Preventing Microbial Contamination in Manufacturing by the Application of Good Manufacturing Practices for Plant Hygiene".
