Dow's UCAR Emulsion Systems Announces Price Increases for Emulsion Products

Published on 2006-09-19. Author : SpecialChem

Cary, NC -- UCAR Emulsion Systems (UES), a business unit of The Dow Chemical Company, is increasing the off-list prices of its UCAR™ vinyl acrylic and NEOCAR™ latex products.

Effective October 1, 2006, for all North American customers, UES will increase the price by US $0.03 per wet pound for all UCAR vinyl acrylic and NEOCAR latex products.

This increase applies to all market segments, including architectural and industrial coatings, and adhesives and sealants. The ongoing escalation in all costs related to the manufacture of these products, particularly feedstock, energy and transportation costs, continues to drive this increase.

Customers interested in learning more about the price increase should contact their local Dow sales representatives. The UCAR Emulsion Systems business manufactures and markets emulsions for architectural and industrial coatings as well as for building products, textiles, traffic paint and adhesives. UCAR and NEOCAR latexes, and UCAR POLYPHOBE™ rheology modifiers can be formulated into a wide variety of products to enhance performance properties. UES operates at 12 production facilities globally, including four operating in North America.
