Dow Announces Price Increase for All UCAR™ Solution Vinyl Resins in Asia Pacific

Published on 2005-03-18. Author : SpecialChem

The Epoxy Products and Intermediates (EP&I) business of The Dow Chemical Company is increasing prices for all UCAR™ solution vinyl resin products sold in the Asia Pacific region. The price increase will range from 15 to 40 percent depending on the specific product grade. The increase is effective April 1, 2005, or as contract terms permit.

Dow said the increase is driven by various factors, including supply and demand market forces and continued cost increases.

Dow produces SVR products through a proprietary solution polymerization process. Applications include coatings, inks and adhesives for rigid and flexible packaging, heat-seal lacquers, industrial coatings, wood sealers, strippable coatings, and maintenance and marine coatings.

Customers interested in learning more about the price increase should contact their local Dow sales representative.
