The Dow Chemical Company announced that it will implement a North American (US, Canada and Mexico) price increase of US$.07 per pound (100% basis) on all below list prices for Monochloroacetic Acid 80% Solution (MCAA), not to exceed Dow's current list price for MCAA of $0.65 per pound (100% basis), Seller Absorbs Freight. The price increase will be effective April 1, 2005 or as individual contracts otherwise allow.

Dow said these increases are driven by various factors, including supply and demand market forces and continued US Gulf Coast cost increases.
