Midland, MI -- The Dow Chemical Company announced that it will raise list and off-list prices on a number of products in its Oxygenated Solvents portfolio in North America on January 1, 2005.

"Strong global demand for these products continues to put pressure on our production capabilities," says Pat Gottschalk, global business director, Solvents & Intermediates. "Our facilities are running at record rates, and we see no weakening in the current supply/demand ratio."

Martin Sutcliffe, global business director, Glycol Ethers, says, "The high level of demand continues to put supply pressure on the raw materials needed to produce our products. These price increases are necessary to secure raw materials and to improve security of supply."
