Cytec Surface Specialties Announces Price Increases on Liquid Coating Resin Products

Shanghai, China -- Cytec Surface Specialties announced price increases for CYMEL® and MYCOAT™ amino cross-linking resins, CYCAT™ catalysts, POWDERLINK™ crosslinkers, and CYASORB® light stabilizers.

Effective November 15th, 2005 in Asia Pacific countries, the price increases will range from US$0.05 to US$0.20 per kg for CYMEL® and MYCOAT™ amino cross-linking resins (HMMM, butylated melamines, urea, benzoguanamines, co-etherified and high solids melamines) and CYCAT™ catalysts and US$1.10 to US$2.20 per kg for POWDERLINK™ crosslinkers and CYASORB® light stabilizers.

The price adjustment is necessary to offset the significant increases in energy, raw materials, packaging, freight and transportation costs.
