Chevy Chase, MD -- With presentations including: wearable displays, RFID, military textiles, inkjet for printed electronics, and biological & chemical hazard detection & suppression for body armor - RadTech, the Association for ultraviolet (UV) and electron beam (EB) processes will feature the technology's enabling power for manufacturers at: e|5 2006, the world's largest UV and EB technology exposition and conference, April 24-26, 2006 at McCormick Place in Chicago, IL.

At e|5 2006 technologists from around the world will present over 200 papers detailing the science and application of UV and EB. Nanotechnology, the use of LEDs, and a special full day devoted to technical developments from Japan in simultaneous translation, highlight the technical program. Application areas include aerospace defense and homeland security, automotive, auto refinish, flexible electronics, food packaging, plastics, inkjet, metal finishing, and wood.

In addition, a TechCell displaying a range of UV and EB enabled applications will be on display, as well as over 100 exhibitors with the latest equipment, raw materials and chemistry.

UV and EB are high value, rapid throughput processes offering the virtual elimination of emissions and lower energy consumption compared with traditional methods - providing manufacturers with a safe, fast and efficient pollution prevention technology. As a result, the industry continues to grow at over twice the rate of traditional processes.
