MUTTENZ -- At Aluminium 2010, Clariant demonstrates its active commitment to give customers the advanced capability to improve their finishing operations and meet color and performance trends and requirements for indoor and outdoor applications. Finishing dyes and process chemicals offering unrivaled long-term results, optimized productivity, and lower environmental impact are among the latest developments on show at Booth G50/08.

At Aluminium 2010, Clariant demonstrates its active commitment to give customers the advanced capability to improve their finishing operations and meet color and performance trends and requirements for indoor and outdoor applications.

Clariant is a leading producer of dyes and process chemicals for anodized aluminium. Its decades of European production expertise, market experience and innovative product developments combine to provide a unique level of high quality service and support for Aluminium Finishers, with products used in a wide range of applications from automotive to cosmetics, and construction.

Highlights from Clariant's comprehensive ranges of aluminium finishing products that address end-performance, environmental and processing efficiency needs, include:

  • Sanodye® heavy metal-free dyes meet increasing market and regulatory demands for finishing materials that are considerate to the environment without compromising on dye quality. The Sanodye range covers a broad color spectrum that extends design potential. The good fade resistance of the dyes ensures effective, long-term performance for indoor-use applications.
  • Sanodal® dyes offer unsurpassed light and weather fastness which makes them ideal for adding color to outdoor applications. The broad range includes shades of black, red, orange, green gold and turquoise to support the latest architectural trends. The dyes can be applied alone or with the well-known Sandalor® process in combination with electrolytic dyeing. This results in excellent fastness properties for architectural outdoor applications.
  • Anodal® process chemicals support the improvement of customers' processes, addressing individuals' need for increased productivity, efficiency and minimized environmental impact. The full range of process chemicals offers benefits such as reduced energy consumption through lower sealing temperatures, and lower cleaning costs through less smut generation on the aluminium. Productivity can be optimized through faster or fewer processing steps.

Visitors to Aluminium 2010 can also learn of Clariant's latest developments for aluminium printing. Its full range of Aluprint® dyes are designed to "lock in" multi-colored text and patterns into anodized aluminium. Sanodure® dyes that offer excellent fade resistance for indoor applications will also be featured.

Clariant's and its partners' worldwide technical competence centers, pilot anodizing lines, color matching, and comprehensive analytical and testing capabilities for corrosion and weathering / UV resistance, reinforce its ability to meet customer needs for faster time to market and the highest quality levels.

To consolidate its technical service and support for large and smaller-scale customers, Clariant's dedicated distributor for Alumiunium Products within Europe, Omya, shares Clariant's booth at Aluminium 2010.

"Clariant's challenge is to work continually to deliver innovations and support that can improve our customers' processes. At the same time they address architectural or product design trends and increasing environmental considerations across the wide range of sectors our customers' serve," comments Dr. Klaus - Dieter Baumgart, Clariant BU Pigments.

"Aluminium 2010 places Clariant and our distributor Omya at the heart of the sector's discussions and issues, assisting our ability to deliver leading solutions that can make a valuable contribution to the current and future use of aluminium in a wide range of applications."
