Ciepiel Named President and COO of Flood Company

Former CEO of Realty One To Run Operations At Wood Care Products Leader

HUDSON, OH (January 16, 2003) - Anthony M. Ciepiel, former president and CEO of Realty One, has been named president and chief operating officer of The Flood Company, a global producer of quality wood care products. The announcement was made by Pete Flood, who will assume the new position of chairman and chief executive officer of the 161- year-old company.

"To find and attract the kind of talent of Tony Ciepiel in our own backyard is rare, but it says so much about our company, his commitment to the area, and his confidence in achieving our goals for Flood," said Pete Flood. "He's a great fit because he brings the highest level of professionalism and operational skills to our company."

The Flood family has run the Flood Company since its founding in 1841. Pete Flood represents the family's fifth generation to serve at the helm of the venerable company.

My goal is to grow the company through increased distribution of existing products domestically, new product introductions, and international expansion. Under Ciepiel's leadership at Realty One, the company experienced impressive growth as it became one of the nation's largest, fully- integrated residential real estate and mortgage company's with sales of more than $3.5 billion.

Before joining Realty One in 1993, Ciepiel was executive vice president, treasurer and chief financial officer at the Cleveland- based advertising agency Griswold, Inc. Prior to that, he worked at Arthur Young. A past honoree in the prestigious "40 Under 40" list of top young executives as selected by CRAIN'S CLEVELAND BUSINESS, Ciepiel graduated cum laude from Baldwin Wallace College, where he holds a B.A. degree in Accounting and Finance.
