Celanese Emulsions Announces Price Increase for Emulsions sold in Europe

Published on 2005-11-10. Author : SpecialChem

DALLAS -- Celanese Emulsions (NYSE:CE - News; FWB:CZZ), will increase the price for all Vinyl and Acrylic emulsion polymers sold in Europe by 5 to 7%, effective for shipments on or after December 1, 2005, or as contracts allow. Pricing will reflect unique technology and delivery requirements for each product. The increases are necessary to offset continued substantial rises in raw material and energy costs associated with the production of these products.

Celanese Emulsions, a business of Celanese Chemicals, is a global supplier of emulsion and adhesive polymers to the architectural coatings, adhesives, paper, nonwovens, textiles and building products industries. It is aggressively adopting best practices and implementing Six Sigma initiatives across its global manufacturing sites to increase production efficiency and improve supply chain economics. Celanese Emulsions has recently aligned its business into global market segments, which it expects will improve its ability to develop innovative products and services to meet customer needs.
