CCP to Implement Sales Controls on Coatings Resins

KANSAS CITY, MO -- Effective immediately, CCP's Coatings Resins Group will implement a 2005 Volume Sales Control Program for all acrylic-containing coatings resins. According to Dan Kile, Vice President of Polymers for CCP, the action is necessitated by the extremely tight supply of acrylic monomers.

"Customer purchases of acrylic-based products will be limited to volumes purchased in 2004," Mr. Kile stated. "Each customer will be contacted personally by their CCP sales representative to discuss those products and purchase plans affected by this announcement. "CCP apologizes," he continued, "for any inconvenience this program may have on our customers' business operations. We are determined to minimize the effects of this action, and are diligently monitoring supply sources.

"We continue to be committed to providing the best in products and services, which includes making every effort to hold down costs, to limit price changes, and to keep our customers informed," Mr. Kile concluded.

Headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri, with manufacturing facilities throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico, CCP is--along with associated companies Cray Valley and Sartomer--the second largest producer of coatings resins in the world, as well as the world's largest and leading producer of polyester gel coats. The company has the largest distributor network for composites and cast polymers in North America.

Peninsula Polymers, LLC, CCP's distributor partner for coatings resins products, is based in Overland Park, Kansas, and has distribution centers in California, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Missouri, Oregon, New Jersey, and Texas.
