BIETIGHEIM-BISSINGEN -- The BMW Group has presented Dürr with its new BMW Supplier Innovation Award. Dürr received the award in the "Sustainability" category for its innovative paint booth system EcoDryScrubber. At BMW's Regensburg plant, the environmentally friendly technology has led to a substantial reduction in energy consumption and CO2 emissions during the clear coat application process.

Ralf Dieter, CEO of Dürr AG: "Top quality and optimized consumption are key at BMW, not only when it comes to cars but also in the production process. Our EcoDryScrubber technology, which achieves energy savings of up to 60% in the paint booth, is ideally suited to this approach."

The BMW Group presents its BMW Supplier Innovation Award to its most innovative suppliers. During the awards ceremony, which was held on November 7 in Munich, the premium manufacturer paid tribute to a total of nine parts and equipment suppliers. The BMW Supplier Innovation Award is the fifth prestigious award that Dürr has won for its EcoDryScrubber. Most recently, the technology earned recognition in the Innovation Award of the German Economy.
