partnership-expansion-newsBiesterfeld expands its long-term partnership with Evonik in the field of paints and varnishes. Biesterfeld is now distributing the ACEMATT®, AEROSIL®, AERODISP®, AEROXIDE®, SIPERNAT®, SPHERILEX®, ZEOFREE®, ZEOTHIX® and ZEOLEX® products in Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia.

Additives for Improved Paint Formulations

These innovative silica products from the field of coating additives are crucial in producing paint and varnish formulations. ACEMATT® matting agents are precipitated or fumed silicas, which are suitable for direct use, easy to process and highly efficient. There is no need for high shear forces when processing them as part of paint formulations.

AEROSIL® and AERODISP® are fumed silicas used for rheology control in various applications; they modify the anti-settle and anti-sag properties of solvent- and water-based paints and varnishes. SIPERNAT® and ZEOLEX® are special fillers used as titanium dioxide extenders. SPHERILEX® products help to improve the mechanical durability of wall paints, for example.

We are delighted by this positive development and thrilled to consolidate our partnership with Evonik in the field of coating additives,” says Kathrin Jordan, CASE product manager at Biesterfeld Spezialchemie. “In expanding our collaboration, we are enlarging our portfolio in a targeted way and providing our customers with a comprehensive range of products for paint and varnish applications.”

In Biesterfeld we have an established and reliable partner that matches our philosophy: close customer proximity, a high standard of application-specific consulting and outstanding logistics,” adds Stefan Schmitt, channel manager for Coating Additives at Evonik. “This collaboration is the next step on the path to giving our customers and markets added value through an expert partner.”
