BASF to Increase list prices on Acrylic acid, Esters

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Effective January 1, 2005, or as contracts allow, BASF will raise its list prices in the United States and Canada for acrylic acid, butyl acrylate, 2-ethylhexyl acrylate, methyl acrylate, and ethyl acrylate by $0.22 per pound.

The new list prices for bulk shipments are as follows:

acrylic acid, glacial
$1.16 per pound
butyl acrylate
$1.17 per pound
2-ethylhexyl acrylate
$1.25 per pound
methyl acrylate
$1.24 per pound
ethyl acrylate
$1.16 per pound

Off-list prices at contracted customers will not be affected.
