Baltimore Innovations Ltd Introduces SUPASIL™ Fumed Silica

Baltimore Innovations Ltd, the UK based chemical additive specialist, is delighted to announce that Kevin Neale has joined the company to launch SupaSil™: its new range of fumed silica, a high surface area silica with a low bulk density which is used as a thickening or anti caking agent.

SupaSil™ Fumed Silica applications:

  • Rheological viscosity modifier
  • Thixotropic controller and suspension agent for liquid systems, binders, elastomers and polymers
  • Thickening agent for paints, coatings, inks, sealants, PU resins, epoxy systems and polyester gel - coats
  • Anti-foaming agent, silicone elastomer, oils and electrical cabling manufacture
  • Anti-caking agent in powders, improving free flowing characteristics
  • Reinforcing filler in elastomers and polymers.

SupaSil™ Fumed Silica advantages:

  • Low cost and high quality
  • Excellent additive for controlling sag, settling, slump and exhibits high transparency
  • It is a superb thickening agent for water solvent and oil systems.

Kevin joins Baltimore to head up our new Sealants, Coatings, and Polymers Division which is undergoing a period of rapid expansion following the success of SuperSiv™ its range of zeolite molecular sieve powders, pastes and beads.

Kevin joins Baltimore with 30 years of experience in the coatings, paints, printing inks, polymers and resin industries, and can provide a wealth of technical expertise to help customers.
