Ashland Increases Epoxy Vinyl Ester Prices

DUBLIN, Ohio (USA) -- Ashland Composite Polymers, a business group within Ashland Specialty Chemical, a division of Ashland Inc. (NYSE:ASH), is increasing the price of its epoxy vinyl ester resins (DERAKANE®, DERAKANE MOMENTUM™ and HETRON® products) sold in Europe, the Middle East and Africa by 150 euros per metric ton. This price increase will be effective April 1, 2005, and it is driven by a continuing and relentless escalation of raw material and energy costs.

This price adjustment is in addition to already announced increases. Responding to changing market conditions allows Ashland to continue to provide innovative products and industry-leading product support that add value for our customers.
