AMI DODUCO, a Technitrol (NYSE:TNL) Company, has announced the availability of its latest lead-free bronze coating, DODUBRONCE(R)-AF, for decorative and technological applications. The coating utilizes an electrolytic process to obtain mirror-bright ductile layers of copper-tin-zinc alloys which are white in color. The layers have good resistance to corrosion and electrical contact welding and have low porosity.

Bronze coatings are normally used in connectors for communication and automotive applications and as finishes for metalware and jewelry. Compared to ordinary bronze coatings that use lead as a brightener, DODUBRONCE-AF is a lead-free end product and is accredited under the Oko-Tex Standard 100 for being suitable to the human ecological environment.

According to Karl-Heinz Funke, Executive Vice President, Global Sales and Marketing at AMI DODUCO, DODUBRONCE-AF is the product of intense ongoing research and development which is aimed at helping customers remove potentially harmful materials from their products and fulfill the latest regulations.

Also, AMI DODUCO is a leader of cadmium-free electrical contact parts' development for appliance and automotive applications.

AMI DODUCO is a global leader in electrical contact technology and fabrication and has its Headquarters in Export, Pennsylvania. The company provides contacts and assemblies, thermostatic and laminated metal products, contact materials, precious metal refining and recycling and electroplating and surface treatment services to more than 3,000 customers, operating from locations in Europe, North America and Asia.
