Akzo Nobel and DCR Intellectual Property Company Link Processes and Products in Strategic Alliance

Sassenheim, Netherlands -- Akzo Nobel Car Refinishes has announced that it has entered into a global strategic relationship with the newly formed DCR IP Company, LLC. This relationship has been structured to link the vision, strategies and practices of these two collision industry innovators.

"DCR Intellectual Property has developed a unique business model which defines repeatable processes for creating maximum efficiencies within a collision repair center," said Jim Rees Global General Manager, Akzo Nobel Car Refinishes. Rees continues, "The operating model of the business processes which they have created connect beautifully with the technological efficiencies that we have built into our Sikkens products. Additionally, the strategic approach to removing waste, consuming fewer resources and improving quality within the repair process clearly aligns with our ambition on improving sustainability".

Michael Giarrizzo, president and CEO of DCR IP Company, LLC commented on the strategic alliance, "Akzo Nobel is the world's largest coatings supplier.
