Air Products Polymers Announces Price Increase for Airflex®, Flexbond® and Vinac® Emulsion Products

Published on 2004-11-24. Author : SpecialChem

LEHIGH VALLEY, Pa. -- Air Products Polymers, L.P. announced that, effective December 15, 2004, it will implement in the United States and Canada a four cent ($0.04) per wet pound price increase for vinyl acetate homopolymer and copolymer emulsions, all ethylene, vinyl chloride-based emulsions and acrylic-based copolymer emulsions. These products are marketed under the Airflex®, Flexbond® and Vinac® trademarks. This increase is the result of rising raw material and energy costs used in the manufacture of these products and increased transportation costs.

Air Products Polymers, L.P. is a joint venture between Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. (Allentown, Pa., NYSE:APD) and Wacker-Chemie GmbH (Munich, Germany) that manufactures and distributes latex polymers.

NOTE: This release may contain forward-looking statements. Actual results could vary materially, due to changes in current expectations.
