Carboset® 527

Carboset® 527 by Lubrizol is a 100% solids thermoplastic acrylic resin. Exhibits good block resistance, good gloss and surface hardness. Offers very good adhesion to a wide variety of substrates including cold rolled steel, phosphated steel, aluminum, brass, plastics and wood. It can be formulated for application into dip, brush, spray, flow or roll coatings. Suitable for use as the primary vehicle or it can be blended with other resins to improve coating hardness. It crosslinks with epoxy, melamines or other cross-linking resins to yield hard, tough, glossy permanent films. Designed for brass lacquers, bake enamels, performance coatings and temporary protective coatings. Shelf life of Carboset® 527 is 2 years.
