VESTANAT® IPDI

VESTANAT® IPDI by Evonik is 3-Isocyanatomethyl-3, 5, 5-trimethylcyclohexyl isocyanate, monomer for the manufacture of PUR coating raw materials. Exhibits low viscosity, hardness and light stability. Offers good mechanical- and drying properties. Provides high resistance to yellowing and chemicals. Possesses excellent compatibility with other resins. Shows good solubility in all groups of common solvents including ketones, esters, ether esters, aromatics and white spirit. Used in flexible coatings and painting of natural leather. Also used in manufacturing of blocked polyisocyanates as cross-linkers in electro-statically applied powder coatings and solvent-based industrial paints, particularly for can coating & coil coating systems. Applications of VESTANAT® IPDI include large vehicle- and automotive (OEM & refinish) coatings.
