SILIKOPHEN® AC 900

SILIKOPHEN® AC 900 by Evonik is a methoxy-functional methyl phenyl silicone resin. It is a low viscosity, environment-friendly, low VOC resin which is very flexible during heating and cool down. Offers curing at ambient temperature by catalysis and entering of humidity via a hydrolysis/condensation reaction. Provides multifaceted and resource-efficient corrosion protection. Also provides low smoke and odor development in completely cured coatings at temperature loads. Formulations provide excellent long-term heat resistance and early chemical resistance. It is compatible with suitable catalysts like titanates, in combination with a strong base (TEGO® Kat 1/ TEGO® Kat 2). Highly compatible with organic resins. Shows excellent wetting properties with a wide range of pigments and fillers. Permits energy-saving coating applications of large objects. Used in anti-corrosion coatings (depending on formulation), muffler coatings and oven coatings. SILIKOPHEN® AC 900 complies with AICS, ECL, EINECS, ENCS, IECSC, NDSL, PICCS, TSCA and NZIOC.
