UCAR™ Latex 451

Styrene-acrylic latex containing hydroxyl and carboxyl functionalities. Used in interior and exterior industrial topcoat baking finishes. Offers high pigment-binding efficiency and reactivity toward aminoplasts and other crosslinking resins. Suits for clear and pigmented finishes, high and low gloss finishes, primers, and topcoats cured under medium to high baking temperatures. Provides high specular gloss, hardness, adhesion, stain and water resistance, moderate impact strength, good salt spray and humidity resistance, and moderate exterior durability. Gives moderate flexibility, and durability under steam-processing conditions without blushing or loss of adhesion.
