PRIMAL™ BINDER U-40

PRIMAL™ BINDER U-40 by Dow Chemical is a high performance resin based on aliphatic polyurethane dispersion (PUD) and acrylic emulsion polymer. Basecoats featuring PRIMAL™ BINDER U-40 exhibit very good adhesion, excellent cold and dry flex resistance, very good print properties and excellent UV fade resistance. PRIMAL™ BINDER U-40 forms a thermoplastic film that is soft, yet tough, offering medium tensile strength, excellent heat age yellowing resistance and very good hydrolysis resistance. It is designed especially for use in automotive finishing.
