Laroflex® MP 15

Laroflex® MP 15 by BASF is a hydrolysis resistant binder. It is a co-polymer based on vinyl chloride and vinyl isobutyl ether. It is used for the manufacture of physically drying coatings on iron & galvanized steel, non-ferrous metals, mineral substrates as well as road marking paints.

• It promotes the natural grain and color of wood.
• It offers excellent toughness, good elasticity, adhesion & hardness.
• It provides broad choice of solvents, good compatibility with other coating raw materials, and good pigment binding capacity even at high solids.
• It exhibits thermal stability and good adhesion on iron, steel, and many unrelated coating systems.
• Offers good resistance of properly formulated coatings to aqueous alkalis & acids, salt solutions, stress from water, humidity, low & cyclic temperatures, chalking and yellowing.
• Laroflex® MP 15 is suitable for anti-corrosion coatings, fiber cement, flame-retardant coatings on non-flammable building materials, marine and container paints.
• It is also recommended for architectural finishes, indoor/outdoor coatings on wood & duroplastics, interior/exterior general industrial metal coatings, interior/exterior plastic components and interior/exterior concrete coatings.
• Also, used in impregnating and coating of paper, cardboard, & textiles, in effect paints such as wrinkle & hammer, and in crackle finishes of coatings.
