Glascol® LE31

Self crosslinking aqueous emulsion based on a styrene acrylic copolymer. Used as an effective binder in water-based flexographic inks with very good adhesion characteristics on various plastic substrates made from polyethylene, polypropylene, polycarbonate, polystyrene or ABS. Recommended for formulation of soft over-print varnishes on paper or plastic substrates. Offers softness and high flexibility. flexible and also abrasion and chemically resistant. Provides very good adhesion to paper, card and plastic substrates, resistance to organic and water-based materials, abrasion resistance and viscosity/pH stability. Can be used as a let-down vehicle in combination with a highly hydrophilic resin as the pigment grinding vehicle to provide optimum color development.
