NECOWEL 586 N

NECOWEL 586 N by ASK Chemicals is a cosolvent-free, aromatic PU (polyurethane)-modified alkyd emulsion (medium oil length). Does not contain APEO (alkylphenol ethoxylates) and is free of VOC (volatile organic compound) and SVOC (semivolatile organic compounds). Shows good adhesion on different substrates including plastics like polystyrene and ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene). Due to its good compatibility with acrylic dispersions, it is also used in hybrid systems. Especially suited to formulate water-based primers with good drying properties. Applications include primers for metal, wood & plastics and anti-corrosive primers. NECOWEL 586 N has a slight yellowing tendency and is therefore not recommended to formulate white color lacquers.
