Acrylic acid. Possesses an ability to polymerize to form homopolymers and copolymerize with their esters and other vinyl monomers. Offers hydrosolubility and the carboxylic acid functionality provides anionic character and reactivity with alcohols and epoxides. Recommended for UV-curing coating systems. Applications in paper coatings, varnishes and inks.
