RESYDROL® VAX 5227w/55LG by allnex is water dilutable, epoxy resin-modified, oil-free, alkyd resin for stoving enamels. Exhibits very good corrosion resistance. For film formation it must be crosslinked with melamine resins suitable for aqueous systems. The addition of RESYDROL® VAX 5227w/55LG to other water dilutable alkyd resins and oil-free alkyds used for the formulation of automotive primer surfacers improves reactivity, pigment wetting and corrosion protection as well as build. It has a shelf life of 1 year at temperatures upto 35°C.
