Iron oxide. It is a transparent red pigment. Possess high compatibility and fluidity. Exhibits high level of color strength and UV absorption properties combined with excellent weather fastness, heat durability as well as alkaline-resistance. It does not contain resins and flux. The small particle size of transparent iron oxide results in the pigment with high surface area (about 128m2/g) and therefore, high oil absorption value (80-100). Offers bleed resistance and non-toxicity. It is specially recommended to be used in alkyd, polyurethane, acrylic acid and polymer emulsion based water-borne systems. Also used in industrial paints which are applied over metal to produce gold or copper effects and also widely applicable in interior as well as exterior can coatings. Typical applications include wood lacquer, metal flash paint and printing ink, such as planographic printing, intaglio, relief as well as screen print inks.
