Mergal® V515K4 by Troy Corporation (Arxada) is an in-can preservative, bactericide and fungicide for paints and lacquers. It is a blend of benzoisothiazolinone and sodium pyrethione. This additive shows compatibility with aqueous polymer emulsions such as pure acrylic, styrene acrylic, polyvinyl acetate and copolymers, vinyl acetate-ethylene pressure polymers, casein, starch and starch derivatives. The usage level of Mergal® V515K4 is 0.1-0.4%.
