LAPONITE® RDS

LAPONITE® RDS by Byk (Altana Group) is a synthetic layered silicate incorporating an inorganic polyphosphate. Acts as a rheology modifier/ thickener. Offers smooth, coherent and electrically conductive films. It hydrates and swells in water to give clear and colorless colloidal dispersions of low viscosity known as sols. Imparts a shear sensitive structure. LAPONITE® RDS is used in household and industrial surface and paper coatings.
