Aminoethylaminomethyltriethoxysilane (N-(2-aminoethyl)-aminomethyltriethoxysilane). It acts as an adhesion promoter. It is a bifunctional organosilane possessing two reactive amino groups and hydrolysable inorganic ethoxysilyl groups. This substance reacts as a strong base. The silane hydrolyzes auto catalytically in the presence of moisture (ethanol is released) to form silanols, which can then react with themselves to produce siloxanes or can bind to inorganic substrates. As a bifunctional organosilane, it can bind to both inorganic materials and organic polymers to function as a molecular bridge between organic and inorganic substrates. Can accelerate hydrolysis reaction compared to (amino-propyl) silanes.
