PAT-ADD DA 201

Non-ionic wetting agent. Is APE-free and replaces products such as alkyl phenol ethoxylates, which are banned in certain areas based on high toxicity concerns. Is extremely low foaming. The product is typically used in dispersion paints in conjunction with polycarboxylic dispersion agents, such as PAT-ADD DA 101 or 102. It is very suitable for use in universal colorants, as designed for tinting purposes of waterborne, solvent borne paints & is also used for general deco systems. PAT-ADD DA 201 is strongly adsorbed onto inorganic pigments and extenders, thus creating a dense charged layer, which contributes to electrostatic stabilization of the dispersed pigment and extender particles. The tendency of pigment flocculation, during paint production, storage or application is reduced, whereas properties like viscosity stability on storage, color development, opacity are being optimized, using PAT-ADD DA 201.
