PPA - 7108

Phenalkamine. Acts as a wet surface epoxy hardener or curing agent. It is mannich base, a reaction product of distilled cashew nutshell liquid and polyamine. PPA - 7108 is an epoxy adduct of phenalkamine in solution form. Very good compatibility with epoxy resin based on bis - phenol A, bis - phenol F as well as phenolic novolacs. Offers excellent rapid cure even at low temperatures, non critical mixing ratio, excellent curing under humid as well as damp conditions and workable pot life at lower temperature. Also has a very good flexibility, low viscosity and good chemical, solvent as well as water resistance. Used in medium to high solid coatings, surface tolerant primers for metallic substrate, tank linings, flooring, construction and industrial as well as marine coatings applications.
