PPA - 7040

Phenalkamine. Acts as a mannich base epoxy hardener or curing agent. It is a reaction product of distilled cashew nutshell liquid and polyamines. Very good compatibility with epoxy resin based on bis - phenol A, bis - phenol F as well as novolacs and also with the most of the organic solvents as well as their combinations. Has excellent rapid cure even at low temperatures, excellent curing under humid as well as damp conditions and superior corrosion resistance. Also has a very good flexibility, workable pot life, low viscosity, non critical mixing ratios and good chemical, solvent as well as water resistance. Used in solvent free as well as high solid coatings, surface tolerant primers for metallic substrate and pipeline, tank, industrial as well as marine coatings applications.
