PPA - 7009

Phenalkamine. Acts as an epoxy hardener or curing agent. It is mannich base, a reaction product of distilled cashew nutshell liquid and polyamine. PPA - 7009 is a solution of epoxy adduct of phenalkamine. Very good compatibility with epoxy resin based on bis - phenol A, bis - phenol F as well as phenolic novolacs. Has excellent rapid cure even at low temperatures, low viscosity, excellent curing under humid as well as damp conditions and workable pot life at lower temperature. Also has a non critical mixing ratio, very good flexibility and good chemical, solvent as well as water resistance. Used in medium to high solid coatings, surface tolerant primers for metallic substrate, tank lining, flooring, construction and industrial as well as marine coatings applications.
