Phthalic acid ester of 2-propyl 3 methylhexyl and amyl alcohol. It acts as a plasticizer. It is clear colorless and odorless oily liquid, free of foreign materials which is slightly soluble in water but soluble in alcohols, hexane etc. It is used in non-polymer applications including anticorrosion paints, antifouling paints, lacquers and inks.
