Indopol® H-18000

Polybutene. Indopol® H-18000 by INEOS Oligomers is a colorless, non-drying, hydrophobic, synthetic liquid hydrocarbon polymer. It provides water resistance, low color, plasticization of the final film, very good adhesion and the ability to replace volatile solvents. It is used as component in many special purpose paints and coatings. Polybutenes improve water repellency of acrylic-based systems, offer resistance to oxidation by light and heat and can be used to control rheological properties of inks, resulting in improved processing and print image. Applications of Indopol® H-18000: sealers for porous substrates such as wood, concrete and stucco, masonry paints/coatings based on alkyd resins, anti-corrosion marine paints/coatings, conventional gloss paints and undercoats based on rubber or hydrocarbon resins and as a replacement for mineral oils in hot thermoplastic road marking paints.
