Flux calcined diatomite. Celite® 388 acts as a matting agent in paints in the form of diatomaceous earth. Being a natural mineral product, every deposit has its own characteristics and these results in different coating properties. Recommended applications involve water and solvent-based decorative paints like interior and exterior matts, industrial coatings like traffic marking paints. But it can also be used in water and solvent based primers and undercoats. This diatomite is recommended where high brightness is desired.
