Omnicat 250

Omnicat 250 by IGM Resins is a versatile photoinitiator for cationic polymerization of epoxy- or oxetane-based photocurable systems upon light exposure.
  • It is suitable for surface and through cure.
  • It is especially suitable to the cure thick and highly pigmented systems.
  • It is designed for clear and white systems.
  • It affords minimum yellowing after exposure to sufficient amounts of UV radiation.
  • It can be used to effectively cure cationic inks and coatings, such as printing, flexographic & screen inks, varnishes, paper, metal, wood, plastic and white base coatings.
  • The recommended addition level is 1.5-3.0% for white base coatings, 1.5-4.0% for flexographic ink, 1.5-3.0% screen ink, 1.0-1.5% for overprint varnishes as supplied, in combination with 0.5-0.7 % of a photosensitizer, e.g., thioxanthones.
  • Omnicat 250 has a shelf life of 24 months.
