TEGO® Wet 550

TEGO® Wet 550 by Evonik is a 100% non-ionic organic surfactant. It is a very high molecular weight silicone-free substrate wetting additive. It has anti-crater effect and low-foam tendency. It results in a particularly low tendency to migrate. This prevents the substances from penetrating the packaging and reaching the food. TEGO® Wet550 enhances process reliability and achieves high-quality printing results. It is solvent-free and liquid, which translates into easy handling. Especially suitable for use on paper, for waterborne, clear coat and pigmented substrates as well as for primer/basecoat, topcoat lacquer coat. It is partially suitable for solventborne systems. It is specifically developed for printing on food packaging. Recommended addition level is 0.1-1.0%. TEGO® Wet 550 is listed on EINECS and PICCS chemical inventories. It has a shelf life of 24 months. It is also listed on the A lists of the Swiss Ordinance 817.023.21, Annex 6.
