Carbowet® DC01

Carbowet® DC01 by Evonik is a blend of non-ionic surfactants. It is a clear, low odor and low viscosity liquid. It acts as a multifunctional, low-foaming, and solvent-free and alkyl phenol ethoxylate-free additive for pigment and substrate wetting. It shows improved color rub-up and color acceptance for enhanced touch-up and so it is compatible with a wide variety of universal colorants and color pigments when used in the grind. It exhibits lower pour point than typical commercial surfactants used in architectural paints, allowing for better handling in cool temperatures. Also provides enhanced surface tension reduction for improved wetting on pigments and poorly prepared or chalky surfaces. Shows wide compounding latitude and no negative impact on dry time, block resistance, gloss and opacity. Carbowet® DC01 offers better compatibility with associative thickeners in architectural paint formulations and aqueous pigment dispersions resulting in potential cost savings.
