ANCAMINE® 1638

ANCAMINE® 1638 by Evonik is a low loading, low viscosity, modified aliphatic polyamine-based curing agent for use with liquid epoxy resins at ambient temperature.

It provides very good chemical resistance to mineral acids, aqueous alkali solutions, water and aromatic hydrocarbons.
It offers high reactivity and fast set times.
It exhibits high strength and modulus.
It imparts heat resistant characteristics.
ANCAMINE® 1638 is used in patch repair compounds, wet lay-up laminating and modifier for other amine-based curing agents.
Recommended usage level is 15 phr with bisphenol A diglycidyl ether (EEW=190).
It has a shelf life of 24 months.
