AEROSIL® R 972 by Evonik is a fumed silica-rheology control additive. It possesses anti-settling, anti-sagging and corrosion resistance. It is easy to disperse, universally applicable and provides good dispersibility and standard recommendation. It is suitable for waterborne, solventborne, 2-pack coatings and 1-pack coatings. AEROSIL® R 972 is used in general industrial coatings, coil coatings, car OEM coatings and powder coatings. Recommended addition level is 1-2% based on total formulations. It has a shelf life of 2 years.
